How does Juice work?

Juice is an AI-powered sports betting research platform that uses the most advanced AI models from OpenAI to analyze betting lines and identify valuable opportunities. Simply upload a screenshot of betting lines from your sportsbook, add any optional notes (like profit boosts), and our best-in-class AI models will research team statistics, injury reports, and recent performance data. The platform then calculates the true probability of each bet hitting and compares it to the market odds to determine expected value (EV). The entire sports betting research process takes 1-5 minutes depending on which analysis mode you choose.

What is expected value (EV)?

Expected value is the long-term average profit or loss you'd expect if you placed the same bet repeatedly. It's calculated using the formula: EV = (Probability of Win × Amount Won) - (Probability of Loss × Amount Lost).

A positive EV means the odds are underpriced and you have an edge. A negative EV means the house has the advantage. Professional bettors only place bets with positive expected value—and now you can too.

What makes a good screenshot for analysis?

For best results, your screenshot should:

• ✓ Display the date/time of the event
• ✓ Show all relevant bet details (spreads, totals, money-lines)
• ✓ Be cropped to remove unnecessary information (account balances, personal info)

Juice works with screenshots from any sportsbook app or website. The clearer your screenshot, the more accurate the analysis.

Is my betting information safe and private?

Yes! We take your privacy seriously. Your screenshots are processed temporarily to generate the analysis and are not permanently stored. Each analysis session is independent—when you start a new analysis or close the app, all data is cleared from your device.

Screenshots are sent securely to OpenAI's API for processing using encrypted HTTPS connections. OpenAI does not use API data to train their models, and API data is retained for only 30 days for abuse monitoring before being deleted.

Does Juice guarantee winning bets?

No. Juice cannot predict the outcome of any single game with certainty. Sports involve variance and unpredictability—even bets with 80% probability lose 20% of the time.

What Juice does provide:

Many sportsbooks offer promotions like "30% profit boost" or bonus bet credits. When you mention these in your notes (e.g., "I have a 30% profit boost"), Juice calculates the expected value both with and without the bonus.

This helps you identify which bets are worth using your promotions on to maximize value.

Is Juice free to use?

Juice requires an API key for OpenAI's services to function. Currently, users need to configure their own OpenAI API key in the app settings. OpenAI charges based on usage:

• GPT-5 (Better Mode): ~$0.50-2.00 per analysis
• GPT-5-mini (Faster Mode): ~$0.10-0.40 per analysis

Actual costs depend on the complexity of the analysis and amount of research performed. Check OpenAI's pricing for current rates.

Can I analyze multiple bets from one screenshot?

Absolutely! Juice automatically detects and analyzes all betting lines visible in your screenshot. If you upload a screenshot with multiple bets (money-line, spread, over/under, props, etc.), Juice will:

1. Parse all bets individually
2. Research relevant information for each
3. Calculate expected value for every bet
4. Present results in a ranked table from highest to lowest EV

This makes it easy to compare multiple betting options at once.

How long does an analysis take?

Faster Mode: Approximately 1 minute
Better Mode: Approximately 3-5 minutes

Actual time varies based on:

• Number of bets being analyzed
• Complexity of research required
• Current API response times

You'll see a real-time progress indicator showing which stage of analysis is currently running (Reading bets → Researching stats → Calculating probabilities → Computing EV).

What should I do if an analysis fails?

If an analysis doesn't complete successfully, try these steps:

• Check your internet connection - Analysis requires active connectivity
• Verify your OpenAI API key - Make sure it's configured correctly in Config.swift
• Try a clearer screenshot - Ensure betting lines are visible and legible
• Use Faster Mode - If Better Mode times out, try Faster Mode
• Restart the app - Close and reopen Juice
• Check your screenshot - Make sure it shows actual betting lines with odds

Does Juice integrate with my sportsbook account?

No. Juice does not integrate with, access, or connect to any sportsbook accounts. It's a standalone analysis tool that works by:

1. You taking a screenshot from your sportsbook
2. Uploading it to Juice
3. Receiving independent analysis
